Drawing from decades of experience in the insurance claims services industry, Kelly Smoot founded One Call Claims in 2011 with a vision to bring the company to the forefront of the independent adjusting industry through innovation and disciplined management, quality assurance, and adjuster development. His vision has been to surround himself with experts in their specialties to provide superior adjusting services. With an underlying mission to always do what is right for the carrier, the insured, and the adjuster, One Call Claims has developed a respected reputation in the industry and services clients across the United States for daily and catastrophe claims. The management team has well over 200 years of insurance carrier, claims management, and construction experience and knows what it takes to make partnerships work both on the carrier and adjuster level.
Executive Management Team
Kelly Smoot is CEO for One Call Claims. Kelly began his career more than 35 years ago with Crawford & Co. catastrophe team working as an adjuster. Kelly then joined Walter Pilot as one of the original adjusters with Pilot & Associates, and in his span of 16 years was involved in every major catastrophe from hurricanes, earthquakes, fires and hailstorms. He was also able to hone skills on special projects and was promoted to high level management roles. After leaving Pilot, Kelly joined Pacesetter in 2010 due to his vast experience in the industry, Kelly co-founded One Call Claims. Kelly's success has been based on two philosophies. Do what is right and never over commit.
Kristi Smoot’s talents as a licensed contractor and her construction expertise coupled with her love of the adjusting profession and entrepreneurial spirit led to the co-founding of One Call Claims in 2011. She has served as VP of Account Management, Chief Marketing Officer and now, her industry knowledge, organizational skills and vision have led to her current position as President. In addition to these vast array of talents and leadership capabilities, Kristi holds a B.S. Organizational Leadership with a specialization in Marketing. With a combined total of thirty years in the insurance claims industry and construction , her industry knowledge and experience are a perfect fit to lead the One Call Claims team into the future.
Tom Bartlett serves as CFO for One Call Claims. Tom has over thirty years of private equity, investment banking, corporate advisory, and operating experience with middle market companies and their owners. From April 2010 through January 2016, he served as CFO of a Dallas based Independent Adjusting Firm. Tom was involved in all aspects of the executive management of the company and was primarily responsible for all financial management and planning functions as well as leading and closing two acquisitions and arranging all associated financing. He also served as President of the firm from December 2013 through January 2016. Tom is a graduate of Baylor University, from which he holds a BBA in Finance and Management.
Tonya Delamarter has been a member of the One Call Claims LLC team since 2016, previously serving as VP of Operations. She brings 25 years of Business Management experience to her role of SVP of Operations. Tonya has been in the Insurance Claims industry for 12+ years, with a background in Management, Marketing, Client Services and Training. Her ability to hear a vision and implement processes and procedures to bring it to life, creates endless opportunities for the growth and structure of One Call Claims LLC today and in the future.
Kelle Lane’s (SHRM-CP) 25-years of corporate experience as both an Accounting and Human Resources Professional in a variety of specialized fields is the perfect meld of talents suited for the dynamic world of Claims Accounting and our diverse workforce. Having joined One Call Claims, LLC in 2016, Kelle’s impact was felt immediately through her integration of many employee-focused programs designed to further foster the culture of excellence that has become synonymous with/for OCC. Further, her knowledge and integration of corporate accounting methodologies has, not only streamlined our entire Accounting Department, but allowed us to recognize many operational advantages often only reserved for much larger organizations.
